Co-FOunding a tech startup

Inception

Goodie Bag Food Co. is a tech startup I founded in 2022, alongside Eddy Connors and Ethan Mills. The company’s inception took place during the 2022 CU Startup Summer program, and after taking first place it has become a full time operation.

For more context - 

Goodie Bag is a marketplace platform connecting restaurants' surplus food to customers at a discounted price. Restaurants list available "goodie bags" consisting of their perfectly good, unsold food on that given day and specify a pickup time. The contents of the Goodie Bag remain a mystery to the customers, who browse available bags and make an in-app purchase to reserve one for pick up. Restaurants salvage revenue on sunk costs while attracting new, price sensitive customers who receive quality food at a discounted price. 

Branding

The Goodie Bag branding was created to convey a sustainable, helpful identity. A warm, complementary pallet provides an inviting tone. The logo mark implements a thick but elegant san serif binding the two words together alluding to community and togetherness.

Art Direction

I create physical and digital art direction for both informative and customer onboarding purposes. Working to convey the message that Goodie Bag is newest way to save of a buck on quality food.

UX/UI

I designed order and listing flows and prototyped interfaces for the three sides to our platform: User, Partner, and Admin. The entire process proved to be an invaluable learning experience, as this is the first app I’ve prototyped that actually made it to development. I used sketches, flow maps, features and functions lists, and Figma prototypes.
